A Note on Licensed Comics
In the 1970's, in addition to their super-hero line, Marvel began expanding offerings into licensed series including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Battlestar Galactica, Conan the Barbarian, Doc Savage, Doctor Who, Flintstones, Godzilla, John Carter, Logan's Run, Planet of the Apes, Red Sonja, Tarzan, and Yogi Bear.

Despite seeming evidence to the contrary, Disney does not own everything, including the majority of those IP listed. It would be neat if any of these series could find their way onto Marvel Unlimited, but it's not something I'm especially holding out on. I'm not even sure if I would cover them here, as the Marvel Multiverse has more than enough series for me to focus on.

The big exception, of course, is Star Wars. While I won't be covering that series here, I'll (probably) eventually set up a page just for that franchise, though that will likely be some time after I finish the other Marvel Then decade pages.

A Note on Shang-Chi
Due to licensing issues over Sax Rohmer's Fu Manchu character, who was an integral character in the (original) origin of Shang-Chi, Marvel went through a digital purge of all related series in 2022. This included the entire Master of Kung Fu series, more than half of Deadly Hands of Kung Fu, among other related issues. Unless a new arrangement comes up, these series will remain unavailable.

Gaps from Current Collections
Giant-Size Invaders #1 (missing from Invaders and the Liberty Legion)
Marvel Tales #100 (missing from Hawkeye: The Measure of a Man)

Strange Tales #169 is 'missing'/available in the Brother Voodoo: Baptism of Fire collection. The issue is available via a collected 2009 reprint featuring two other issues and a modern framing sequence, but the rest of the Strange Tales issues are available in their proper forms.

Logan's Run #6 is a licensed comic that features a Thanos backup story ('The Final Flower') that is available via a 2010 reprint, as mentioned in the Thanos: To Duel a Mad God collection. My hope isn't so much for Marvel to re-license the Logan's Run series (particularly as it's not something I'd focus on here anyway) but to hopefully make the backup available in something less anachronistic than a 2010 issue.

Marvel Premiere
Marvel Premiere #31 (Woodgod)
Marvel Premiere #32 (Monark Starstalker)
Marvel Premiere #36-#37 (3-D Man)
Marvel Premiere #41 (Seeker 3000)

Monark Starstalker and Seeker 3000 will be posted as single issues, as their stories were set outside of the Prime Marvel Universe, and otherwise had no relation to any other series. Collections/placement for the other characters are TBD.

Marvel Premiere #35 (the first of three 3-D Man issues) is currently available.

Marvel Team-Up
I try to avoid posting collections with numerous gaps, but given the anthology focus and lack of overt continuity in this series, I felt fine making an exception posting these collections. The gaps below are as follows...

Marvel Team-Up #54, #56, #58 (missing from Marvel Team-Up: A Past Gone Mad)
Marvel Team-Up #92, #94, #97, #99 and Annual #3 (missing from Marvel Team-Up: Fatal Attraction)

Nick Fury
Following up on the wishlist from the 1960's, the Sgt. Fury series continued into the 1970's. As the remaining issues from the 1960's and 1970's haven't be posted/collected yet, I haven't figured out where I'd mark a cutoff point for a final collection, but they are forthcoming.

Present day Nick Fury didn't have a regular series in the 1970's, with Marvel Spotlight #31 marking his only solo title feature. He did have a number of featured/guest appearances in other titles, so a collection for him is forthcoming.

Red Wolf
Marvel Spotlight #1
Red Wolf #1-#9

The Red Wolf mantle was held by numerous people, both past and present, during the 1970's. Guest appearances featuring the character seem to all be available, but none of the issues of the solo series have been reprinted.

Tales of Marvel Horror
Strange Tales #174, #176-#177 (Golem)
Supernatural Thrillers #5, #7-#15 (N'Kantu, the Living Mummy)

As things currently stand, I'm keeping all of the various monster/horror themed collections individual from another. However, a number of those series were very short-lived, so I'm considering taking some of those collections from that section (such as It!, Scarecrow and Modred along with the Golem and N'Kantu issues listed above) and turning that into a single Marvel Horror 'short story' collection. Likewise, this would include the two issues of Bloodstone (Marvel Presents #1 & Marvel Presents #2) that otherwise have nowhere else to go.

The Silver Surfer: The Ultimate Cosmic Experience
This one is kind of a longshot, but this was the original Marvel Graphic Novel published by Simon & Schuster's Marvel Fireside Books. I don't know if there are any licensing issues that would prevent this, but it hasn't been reprinted in some time (if at all?) and more Lee/Kirby Silver Surfer would be a fantastic addition.
